The Fagerstrom TechnoPipe Optical is an electronic bagpipe is ideal as a complement to the ordinary practice chanter. Has got the authentic chanter feel to it; great fun to play. Exists in all current Mk. II versions (except for the NSP with 7 keys). Has the exact same functionality as the Mk. II. Is not sensitive to dry hands. Simple auto-calibration of sensors. Will run for approx. 20h on a rechargeable battery. Only comes in black colour. It does not do glissandos (slide notes). A standard Mk. II cannot be converted to an optical pipe. This way you are the only person who hears you practice. It is perfect for practicing on buses, trains, in bed or at church! Plug in the headphones to turn it on and unplug them again to turn it off.
