Description Only McFew lived on the Island of “Once” off the coast of Scotland. His best friend was his little dog Chips and together they found themselves involved in some unusual adventures. There was the fishing incident when Only caught an enormous fish on Loch Lochy but then fell into the hands of the fearsome Magnus More, the Old Chief’s ghillie; the lighthouse adventure when a ship was wrecked and a man washed overboard; and the awful time the dreadful Mr Richman wanted to buy Only’s favourite stag. But things always seemed to turn out in Only’s favour, maybe because he was able to think up such good plans – or could it have had anything to do with the lucky stone which Only always carried with him?
