If wall studs are not available at the installation location, the Towel Bar is compatible with HealthCraft’s Easy Mount Hollow Wall Anchors, allowing for safe installation without the need for studs. To install the Towel Bar Grab Bar, follow these steps: Select the Installation Location: Choose a spot where the towel bar will be functional and accessible. The flanges are spaced on 24-inch centers, making it suitable to replace traditional 24-inch towel bars. Ensure the location aligns with wall studs for support. Locate Wall Studs: Use a stud finder to identify the positions of wall studs in the chosen area. Mark the stud locations with a pencil at the desired height for the towel bar. Position the Towel Bar: Hold the towel bar against the wall, aligning the 9-hole flanges with the marked stud locations. Use a level to ensure the bar is horizontal. Mark Drill Holes: Using the flanges as templates, mark the positions for the drill holes on the wall. Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked positions to facilitate screw insertion. Apply Silicone Sealant: Before attaching the towel bar, fill each pilot hole with silicone kitchen & bath sealant to create a waterproof barrier. Apply a layer of silicone sealant on the back of each flange to ensure a watertight seal between the flange and the wall.
