Perfect to wear more or less year-round, but especially fitting for Easter too!While acrylic fibres can release microplastics into the environment, wool and cotton yarns aren’t always the best choice for items meant for babies and toddlers. Wool fibres are brittle and easily broken. These wool fibres can then be inhaled and settle in the lungs causing breathing problems for very young children. Cotton is great for light weight clothing made for warmer weather, but it is quite rough against sensitive skin compared to acrylic and blended yarns designed for babies. To help combat the problem of microfibres I would suggest washing clothes made with acrylic yarn in a laundry bag to catch the fibres.
