Alliant Blue Muzzleloader 50 Cal 50 Gr Pellets (24)

Making my second trip around the black powder/muzzleloader route. I love the advancements of muzzleloaders, wanted another go at it. I chose this product by chance, having measured charges to create paper cartridges, which worked well but were not easy to store & carry. I wanted to try pellets, lots to choose, Alliant is a familiar brand but I was bummed to find it was discontinued a while ago, everywhere I looked, no stock BUT the retail was still listed and most were asking over double what Powder Valley listed the same product as, plus it was in stock, the reasonable prices meant I could afford more of this discontinued product. So why bother purchasing discontinued BP-substitute pellets? Price for sure, BUT also a retailer that wasn’t doing the usual price-gouging that happens when a brand name product is discontinued, they were being fair, now that’s PRICELESS…
