Match worn/issued FK Vardar L/S away shirt 1995-1996 by #16

Description Extremely rare match worn or issued FK Vardar Skopje (ФК Вардар) long-sleeved away shirt in the season 1995-1996 by the club’s number 16. Only available at Football & Vintage Amsterdam! In this period, the numbers 12 to 16 were used by bench players in most official matches. The number 16 was known to be worn by an attacking (bench) player. FC Vardar played the 1995–96 season in the Macedonian First League as one of the country’s leading clubs. FK Vardar finished third and remained a strong title contender during this period of domestic competition. The club also competed in the Macedonian Cup but lost to Sloga Jugomagnat by penalties in the final. In the UEFA Cup, Vardar stranded in the first round after being beaten by Bordeaux. In the away match against Bordeaux, they wore this white long-sleeved away shirt. However, a sponsor covered the front of the shirt. This shirt has all the characteristics of a match shirt: First team player size XL Long sleeves (not commercially available) Correct style and size number on the back Moreover, I do not believe this away shirt was available in fanshops at all.
