Description England home shirt as worn in the international period of 1993-1995, with English legend Alan Shearer, number #9, on the back. The England national team experienced a difficult period between 1993 and 1995. England national football team failed to qualify for the 1994 FIFA World Cup after finishing third in their qualifying group behind Norway and the Netherlands. Graham Taylor left as manager after the unsuccessful campaign and was replaced by Terry Venables in 1994. During the following year, England played mainly friendly matches while preparing for UEFA Euro 1996, which they would host. Key players in this period included Alan Shearer, David Platt, Paul Ince and Tony Adams, as the team began rebuilding under Venables after the disappointment of missing the World Cup. Alan Shearer is a former English striker widely regarded as one of the greatest goal scorers in Premier League history. He began his professional career at Southampton (1988–1992) before moving to Blackburn Rovers (1992–1996), where he won the Premier League title in the 1994–1995 season and became one of Europe’s top scorers. In 1996 he made a world-record transfer to Newcastle United, the club he supported as a boy, and played there until his retirement in 2006, becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer. Shearer also scored 30 goals in 63 matches for the England national team and was a key player at Euro 1996, where he finished as the tournament’s top scorer. He remains the all-time top scorer in Premier League history with 260 goals. Years: 1993-1995 Size: XL Condition: Excellent Brand: Umbro
