Description Match issued Netherlands/Holland away shirt for Gaston Taument, who played with number #12 at the UEFA Euro 1992 (EURO 92). Taument was not part of the Euro 1992 team of the Dutch national team. This European Football Championship took place in Sweden (June 1992). Holland finished first in Group B, above Germany, Scotland and CIS national football team. The Netherlands lost in the semi-finals against Denmark in the penalty shoot out after a 2-2 draw. The Dutch national football squad wore the classic orange home kit in all 4 matches. Gaston Taument is a former Dutch winger known for his speed and attacking play on the left side. Gaston Taument was born on 1 October 1970 in The Hague and began his professional career at Feyenoord, where he played from 1988 to 1997 and won the Eredivisie title in 1992–1993 and the KNVB Cup in 1990–1991, 1993–1994 and 1994–1995. In 1997 he moved to Benfica in Portugal. After one year in Portugal, one season at both Anderlecht and OFI (Greece), Taument finished his career at Rapid Wien (2000–2002). Taument played for the Netherlands national team between 1992 and 1996, earning 15 caps and scoring 2 goals, and he was part of the Dutch squad at the 1992 World Cup and Euro 1996.
